Kinfolk has been a long-running name in the track bike community. It seems like just yesterday the guys emailed me about their new track frames and bar in Japan. Now, just 8 months after procuring a space off North 11th and Wythe streets in Williamsburg, Kinfolk Studios Brooklyn is alive. I spent some time with the guys this weekend and took photos after the morning coffee rush had subsided.

The space is magnificent. My photos really don’t do it justice. They guys used reclaim wood from an adjacent building for the privacy scrim for their design studios upstairs. Spanning the space downstairs is a full-length Walnut bar, which was then soaked with various sealants and polished with wax, leaving the natural feel of the wood. There is a pop-up shop that’s opening soon and will change periodically, allowing smaller, boutique brands access to a small retail space.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is served daily with Brunch being served on the weekends. If you’re in the neighborhood, swing by. There are more photos up at my Flickr!
