Toro Custom Goods: Tension & Release

Kris from Locked Cog shared this video project from Toro Custom Goods:

“For anyone that’s put the time into building up their own bike know’s that it can be quite the process. Deciding on components, sourcing the goods and finding the time to bring it together into a ridable rig can be exhausting. However, the payoff is well worth it when you’re riding around on something born of your own two hands.

Last summer Kevin decided to take the plunge and build something he’d be proud to be rolling on. Not because it looked flashy or cost a grip of money but rather for the fact that he himself made it happen. For anyone who knows what goes into building something like this we’d like to share it with you. For the rest of you…here’s a look into Kevin’s process and a look at a hot bike.”

Thanks for sharing dude!

Adjustable wrench for the stem bolt? I’d imagine that’d be a pretty standard size…

Man, I cringed – those Titan stems’ hardware are always rounded already. But whatever….

Vigorously filing down the Campy’s for what reason?
Straight bars, aerospoke, nut-skids on tubulars. Hmmm.

    • http://prollyisnotprobably.com John Watson

Campy Stada (road) have a lip for a second ring. People do that to “convert” them to “Pista”. What you really have to file down are the stress risers on the webbings between crank arms.

thank you. i was going to say that the flat bars and the tubulars were unecessary. and the aerospoke doesn’t belong on any bike.

  • SNOOZE

This is why other cycling people hate fixies and this is worse than the mustached skinny jeans people because he would be doing k and raving if that were “in”.
