NY Times: Feature on Track Cycling and Hold Fast

I awoke this morning to see this article on the NY Times called How to Win: Track Cycling. No less than 30 seconds into the video, the rider slides his foot into a pair of Hold Fast FRS. How cool is that? I know the US team has been using these for some time now. Maybe it’s time for a special edition track racing pair?       Yeah, track racers typically use to forms of retention. A pedal + cleat and a strap to keep them from popping out in a sprint.

    I was about to order some Exustar Track pedals, seems like it’d be easier to clip/strap by yourself with the Hold Fast FRS than the double straps they come with.

    Either way, very cool to watch.

    The real key to winning on the track is just to be British.

    I took Try the Track clinic at Lehigh Valley Velodrome a week ago and saw that most of the pros had classic double straps held around a look pedal with simple zip ties.
