Emiliano went on the Ride in the Park with Eddy Merckx today and got the cannibal to sign his 7-11. The rain didn't stop people from heading out and meeting with Eddy. Looks like fun! Bummed I missed out.
If you missed today's event, tomorrow Eddy will be at Strictly Bicycles from 12:00 - 1:30 signing autographs. Just 5 blocks north of the GW bridge on Hudson Terrace. If you're heading out to the Hills Hurt race, you'll be really close-by.
Drew Leshko in LOVE park with a nice nose-pivot, one handed slider to hand-off for Leader bikes. Nice sequence shot man! The LOVE sign and the Leader gusset make for an interesting relationship.
Drew, you gotta come up to NYC for the Revival premiere! It's been a while man!
While the weather is getting colder here, Summer's just beginning down under in OZ. The Melbourne crew had their first CX race tonight and there's a ton of pics up on Fyxomatosis.
Who's giving Andy a run for his money? Check it out below.
I uploaded this to Flickr earlier this week and completely forgot to post it. Tree copper-plated two sprockets and sent one my way. The pictures don't do this thing justice. It's so nice. I'm riding a 42t at the moment and this is a 36t, which is going to look substantially smaller on my massive bike.
Going to put it on tomorrow, along with a 13t cog and begin to watch it patina. Can't wait! Once it weathers, I'll post it. It should turn a nice turquoise within a month or two.
Brev.M, a new California-based company, has their own line of saddles, grips, cranks, handlebars and wheels showcased on their brand-new website. The track bars and saddles look nice and overall, they've done a good job with their branding. Not sure when or where they'll be available, but keep an eye out on their blog for updates.
JP, Dalten, Sean and Cory standing up for the young guns in a nice little web edit called "Fuck". Bunch of friends riding spots. Dalten's 3 to fakie in the beginning is great. There's also a 720 double tap out of a bank and some pretty big gaps. Lotta banks in SoCal. I'm blown away at how good people are getting.
Ko Masuda was the artist who engraved all those stems for the BFF two years ago. He'll be showcasing his work this coming week in Tokyo for the Bicycle Film Festival. If you're in town, make sure to swing through!

Tom and Tony, the dynamic duo of the fixed gear world, will start contributing weekly posts. It's a special time each week where the two knuckleheads can show their sense of humors via Prolly is not Probably. Without further adieu, here they are.
Since Tom and I have been able to get a lot out the fixed gear community we would like to give back to it in some way. We’re willing to bet that a lot of frequenters Sir Probably’s have seen this video, but we feel it is a great tutorial to learning how to wheelie.
A self proclaimed “fixie newb” systematically breaks down the mechanics of the wheelie into a clear and concise list.
1. Raise your seat to find your balance point.
2. Pop it up with your most comfortable foot which may be your left or right or other foot. There is no need to worry about trying too hard because the front end comes up automatically.
3. Get into the “Go Point”
4. Balance that shit.
5. Wheelie all the way into a tardy mark in homeroom.
This was a great tutorial, but the only addendum we would make is to arrive at school on time. Sick wheelies won’t pay the bills.
GOrilla's grown a lot in the past few months. Through spearheading their Kilroy frameset and sponsoringEd Wonka, the Zürich-based company has made a name for themselves on the international bike scene.
As part of their growing process, they've got a new website. Minimally coded and no flash, just the bare-bones necessities. As Patrick puts it, "its super minimal but we'd rather invest more into our products and service".
Zlog posted up some shots of Justin Av today. He's been laying low for a little while. Mostly due to broken bike parts. He's back it now and as these shots show, he's still got it!
13th Witness put a new edit out last night. This time he follows Nigel Sylvester around NYC. The video takes us from his shop Format in queens building a bike, to the streets of the city. Nice edit for sure.
I hate the music, but it's a pretty cool video. Shot in LA, in a critical mass-style group ride. Tallbikes, cruisers, mtb, road and track. You'll recognize some of the people in it if you look closely. Seeing Jared Leto with an Aerospoke is funny to me for some reason. If My So-Called Life was shot in the present day, he totally would have been on a track bike the whole time.
I love this video. The new Kilroy looks so much better than the earlier prototypes. I know Wonka's in love with it. Good job Gorilla!
Description:
After slamming and breaking our prototypes in public and in front of cameras, we finally started production of the Kilroy frame. The tests that Wonka ran lead to the conclusion that we had to manufacture a tube set just for this frame, with particular reinforced parts to absorb and handle the stress of the jumps. Together with Columbus we decided to change the alloy in order to avoid very thick and heavy tubes and gain in strength nevertheless. We are proud to present the first freestyle frame in Niobium steel. The Columbus Niobium steel is a special micro alloyed steel with Manganese, Chrome, Nickel, Molybdenum and Niobium that is designed to provide superior mechanical properties
We went to Italy for the launch of the production and invited Wonka to join us and get involved into the process of creation. Thanks to Renaud Skyronka for filming this monumental happening.
Follow all the 4 teasers (weekly updated) and you will reach the whole movie in the fifth week from now on.
Jooks in Hokkaido, Japan designed a foldable soft-case for traveling with your bike. At the CMWC everyone was rolling around on the last day with cardboard boxes. Not only did you have to locate one, but the cardboard would rip when you were packing your bike. Looked like a pain. I was using my Sunlite case, which is massive, making it hard to cart around. The Bike Wrap looks like a really good solution to traveling with your bike. The padded sides provide protection and it's simple enough to assemble.
Nice video too!
If you want to pick one up, they'll have a booth at the Tokyo Bicycle Film Festival. Checkem out! Maybe someone in the states will stock them.
Julia at Hell Yeah! broke the news that Tokyo Fixed Gear has opened their first brick and mortar store in London's Soho. That's huge for them. I've never been to London, but that neighborhood is pretty pricey. Tokyo Fixed Gear must be doing well. The times I've ordered stuff from Max and the dudes, it's gotten here super quick.
Store Opens November 25th
