Trackosaurus Rex: Kelli’s Affinity Kissena for Chubby Boob

Kyle just posted up some photos of Kelli’s new Affinity Kissena, built up by the Golden Saddle Cyclery guys for Chubby Boob. I was in the shop when the box of Shimano parts showed up and she is beyond stoked to be racing this beaut at the track. See more photos at the Trackosaurus Rex jammy down Flickr.

Affinity: 2012 Frames Restock

This just in from Affinity:

“Affinity is proud to officially release our Summer 2012 frame re-stock. Get on the latest batch of Lo Pro and Metro frame sets and complete builds while they last. Matte black, champagne money and chrome plated Lo Pro’s are looking sick, and our new Metro shouts NYC with liquid sparkle blue and orange decals. The frames are going fast and once they go, they are gone. Get at em, first come first serve.”

It’s funny how that top photo makes me miss NYC so much. Looking great Jason! Check out more photos at Affinity’s blog.

Affinity Cycles: Pre-Order Launch for the 2012 Frames

Affinity’s new lineup is heading over May 10th but you can pre-order them now. The Kissena is such a bad-ass frame.

“We have a full shipment of Lo Pro’sKissena and Metro frame sets including new color ways on the Metro’s and Kissena’s plus a front fork brake hole option on the Kissena as well.

Also in stock is a full re up of all 2012 Lo Pro color ways including Matte Black, Champagne Money Green and the Chro Pro.

Show your support of The Kissena Velo Fund and purchase the KVF Sparkle Black frame set. Half of the proceeds of the Kissena Velo Fund sparkle black frame sales will go towards funding the new redevelopment of the Kissena velodrome. We’ve also brought a final round of the popular candy black (kinda forest green tint) Kissena color way.

You’ll need to make a full deposit for your frame set, plus shipping to ensure your order and you’ll be first in line to receive a frame once they’re in stock. Check out the new frames below and email us at info@affinitycycles.com or call us at 718-384-5181 if you have any questions.”

Brooklyn Randomness

Brooklyn Randomness

I woke up Sunday absolutely wrecked. One of the hardest things about coming to events like the RHC are all the hours spend partying until 4am. After I pulled myself together, I met up with Chas and we rolled to get some food, then over to Outlier. Chas has decided to give up food delivery for modeling and since he’s #fixiefamous, I think it’ll work out great. From there, we headed to Affinity where we were greeted by the DOSNOVENTA bicycle team from Barcelona. Sure enough Clary hopped on their carbon and aluminum bikes and put on a show. It’s crazy how fast a day can go by when you spend it fucking around in the street on expensive track bikes… Don’t forget to check out the “previously” links below if you haven’t already.

Back in Brooklyn

Back in Brooklyn

I’m back in what I still like to consider my home turf and I’m still amazed that other “bloggers” in NYC have failed to cover this majestic neighborhood. While Williamsburg is the epitome of “hipsterdom” to the rest of the world, to me, it’s my old stomping grounds, filled with great shops, great textures and unique individuals.

Just 10 minutes after I arrived in the neighborhood, I was immersed in an environment like none other. The city changes and yet, it remains tactile and real, at least to me. Affinity Cycles evolves every time I visit New York and King Kog, just a mile away, had some familiar faces hanging out. These photos were real quick, taken in haste. I just wanted you to know I’m still alive. ;-)

Мишка and Affinity 5 Year Anniversary Frame by Lamour Supreme

Since leaving NYC, it’s great to see people and brands that I brought together still pushing rad shit. I introduced Lamour Supreme to Mishka many years ago and that led to talks of bikes and art. Since Affinity was my LBS, I always sent the dudes to Jason for their cycling needs. Now, what? Like 5 years later, Mishka, Affinity and Lamour Supreme put this sick as fuck Kissena track bike out. Amazing.

Check out some killer photos below!
