Merckx Mondays

For once, I’m actually sitting on some great Merckx Mondays content, so I’m going to let it float me for a few posts. This week, we’ll start off with Cooper Ray‘s lovely photos of Jay’s Colorado Merckx road. These photos were taken for Cultivar, a new enterprise arising in Brooklyn. More on that later, for now, let’s check out these lovely photos, taken on a Brooklyn rooftop, just before a sunset. Shots like this make me miss NYC.

Beautiful Bicycle: DJ’s Mash Histogram

DJ's Histogram

Meeting viewers in person and seeing their bikes is one of my favorite things about traveling. This morning, DJ rolled into GSC on his Cinelli Mash Histogram and I tried to quickly sneak in photos before he noticed his bike was gone. It didn’t work because like a good owner, his eyes were on his bike the whole time. Who can blame him? Especially with the parts list…

Beautiful Bicycle: A FYXO Casati Ellise

When we were in Melbourne, I came across this Casati in Shifter Bikes. It was a perfect fit for Lauren and since she had been looking for a road bike, I had to try to work out a deal with Andy to get it for her. Months later, the beast is built up for the beauty and Andy gave it some lens love before packing it up and shipping it out. Check out more lovely photos here!

An Ode to the Peanut Butter Wrench

The Campagnolo 15mm spanner, or aptly named “the peanut butter wrench” is one of the most elegant cycling tools ever produced. Let’s see your wrench in action. All you’ve gotta do is upload your photo to the comments, using Disqus’ image uploader, or use Instagram and the hashtag #myPBwrench.

The winner gets a package stuffed with goods sent out next week.

Merckx Mondays

Molteni shirts? Sure! These aren’t quite available yet but when they are, I’ll letcha know. They’re gonna be good and that’s not the only Eddy Merckx-inspired shirt for this week’s Merckx Mondays. There’s one more shirt in today’s post, along with a crazy Merckx time trial bike, sent in by a reader.

Check out more Merckx Mondays below!
