STICKY: Last Chance for Highway 39 Prints

I’m closing the pre-order out on these tonight and they will be shipped out on Monday. If you would like one, now’s the time to order one. Thanks to everyone for the support. I’m not making a lot of money off this, I just wanted to fulfill the requests of readers for some of my work.

Scoop a Highway 39 print here at the PiNP Web Shop.

Sorry, still no international orders.

In Stock: Highway 39 Prints

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be offering high-resolution, professionally printed and packed photographic prints through the new PiNP Web Shop. The first in the series is entitled Highway 39. This winding road is found in the Angeles National Forest, en route to Cloud Burst off Highway 2. This was shot using Neopan 400, so expect lots of God grain.

An 11×16 print on glossy paper will run you $35 shipped in the continental USA.

Because of the delicate nature of photographic prints, I will only be shipping this batch to the USA. If you would like one internationally, please contact me for pricing.

Recent Roll: Omar the Barber and Vinny’s Barbershop

Riders: Omar the Barber and Vinny's Barbershop

I have met a lot of interesting people on the road. All through bikes. People from all walks of life, with various careers, personalities and ambitions. Sometimes those people become good friends. And that’s how Omar and I became friends. What started as a haircut, led to drinking, then more drinking, some karaoke, bad tattoos (have we even ridden yet man?) and finally, another haircut. Vinny’s Barbershop is my go-to spot for a trim when I’m in LA and it’s not just because Omar knows how to take 20+ years off with an hour-long session…

Recent Roll: LA Life

If I were forced to move anywhere in the USA tomorrow, It’d be LA. Now saying that, I have to admit, I dislike 75% of the “city” but that 25% is mighty tempting and it’s that percentage that brings me back every few months. Last month, I was actually in town for the Mishka LA opening but managed to sneak in some time on the bike, in the bar and at Golden Saddle Cyclery. Even though I was only there for a few days, I had my fill until next time…

Golden Saddle Cyclery: Langtown Cyclocross 2012

Oh man, this looks like a lot of fun.

“This past August, Langtown Racing presented there annual Cyclocross race. You can count on a good time every year and this one was no exception. Watch as racers and participants turn themselves inside out all for the glory of Langtown’s Tripple Crown Title. Congratualtionts to Ty Hathaway here at the shop for winning the men’s division and Dot Wong for winning the women’s division. Enjoy this video by The Sleepers.

Recent Roll: Mt. Disappointment

Recent Roll: Mt. Disappointment

I love riding in LA. Well, not so much in Los Angeles as the Angeles National Forest. It’s home to the biggest climb in the continental United States (the Crest) and the routes you can take are limitless. From Cloud Burst, to Baldy and Mt. Wilson, meandering through the mountains is where I like to be when I visit LA.

So when Kyle asked me where I wanted to go the last time I was in LA, I told him that I didn’t care. His answer: Mt. Wilson and then Mt. Disappointment. I was game, as was Christian, one of Woody, Ty and Kyle’s employees. It was his first ride ever. While he didn’t go in for the haul up to Mt. Disappointment, he stuck his way up to the top of Mt. Wilson. Our day totalled around 65 miles and over 7,200′ of climbing. It was a blast!
