Tak is one of the OG bike messenger photographers in NYC and so seeing him shooting something like the Red Hook Crit is even that much more significant. Who would have thought that alleycats would eventually turn into track bike criteriums? See more at New York Bike Dreams.
SF Sprints is coming up June 8th, so if you’re in town, roll through. See more details here.
Macaframa put together a nice video recap from the 2013 Ride + Style in SF and it’s worth the watch!

Because of a huge scheduling snafu on my part, I couldn’t make it to the Almanzo 100 or the Royal 162 this year. People are saying that it was a brutal ride and Craig’s photos are striking proof. Over 100 miles and around 7,000′ on gravel is no joke and the Royal 162 looked like a brute as well.
I hate to say it but “next year”… til then, check out all of Craig’s photos at his Flickr.
Wolfpack is raising the bar with the CVCCTR Crit 02. Don’t miss this one LA!
Registration begins June 1st. $20 to race.
4 Finale races:
Mens / Womens / Road / Track (brakeless)
Current standings for the Wolfpack Hustle Unified Title Series are here and the work-in-progress official rules are here.
Red Bull’s Ride + Style creates a unique stage for track bike and fixed gear riders to compete on a course designed to host a freestyle competition, as well as a high-paced one-on-one circuit race. Competitors have to do hot laps around the course, in designated brackets and often times at break neck speeds (luckily no one broke anything this year). When all the brackets wound down, one man was left standing. This year, the winner of the 2013 Ride + Style Track was Jason Clary.
Many thanks to Matt Lingo for pulling these photos together in such a timely manner. Keep on top of Matt’s work at RecFail and check out more photos from the 2013 Ride + Style track racers in the gallery.
As you can clearly tell, I wasn’t able to make it to the 2013 Red Bull Ride + Style this year, so I asked photographer Matt Lingo if he’d be interested in covering it for me. We’ll start off with his Guest Gallery of lifestyle and crowd shots, to set the stage as a record number of people took to the Justin Herman Plaza to watch everything go down…
Many thanks to Matt Lingo for pulling these photos together in such a timely manner. Keep on top of Matt’s work at RecFail!
The crew from Wolfpack headed all the way from Los Angeles to Brooklyn to compete in the 2013 Red Hook Crit and they brought Ace from the Sleepers along with to document the weekend.
“The third Garage Race took place in April in Prague. We thought it might be interesting to create bit longer video which is more a documentary. Once again thanks to everyone for coming. Enjoy the show one more time!”
So far, this is the only video I’ve seen from the event yesterday in SF. I’m pretty bummed that I missed out but I had previous obligations. Anyway, check this video out and head over to TTvBlog for more coverage from yesterday’s event.
